Noëlle Needham

Noëlle Needham

Owner/Instructor, Legend Hockey
Owner/U16 Head Coach, Sioux Falls POWER (Tier 1 AAA)

At Legend Hockey, we take pride in our commitment to player development, a vision shaped by our co-founder, Noelle Needham.

Noelle, who also co-founded Sioux Falls Power, is in her 11th season as head coach of the 16U team.

A South Dakota native, she made history in 2018 as the first female NHL amateur scout when she was hired by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

She later spent three seasons with the Chicago Steel (USHL) as Associate General Manager and Director of Scouting, playing a key role in their 2020-2021 Clark Cup championship.

Noelle's background as a collegiate forward at Minnesota State University, Mankato, combined with her extensive scouting and coaching experience, reflects her deep dedication to developing high-level athletes.

Growing up on a ranch in South Dakota instilled in her a relentless work ethic and perseverance—values that are embedded in Legend Hockey’s training approach.

By launching both Sioux Falls Power and Legend Hockey, Noelle has helped establish Sioux Falls as a premier hub for elite hockey development, strategically positioned near top USHL and NCAA recruiting grounds.

Through Legend Hockey, we continue to push the boundaries of player training, fostering a pathway for athletes to reach the highest levels of the game—from Junior hockey to the NHL.
